EX1 Overland Kitchen
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Make food on and off trail with this unique vehicle kitchen. Pull over and have immediate access to a well thought out kitchen made of the same materials found in commercial kitchens, vehicles, and spacecraft. Features a large prep surface, food & cookware storage, and sliding compartments for refrigerator and stove.
KEY FEATURES
Storage efficiency:
The 100% metal construction is thinner for the same strength than other materials. This means less space is used by the cabinet structure, and more space is available for your stuff.
Easy Access:
Avoid taking everything out of your cargo space in order to set up your kitchen. Items stored on top of this unit can remain in place as you access the drawers and counter space to prep your meal.
Air Flow:
Vehicle fridges require adequate ventilation to run safely and efficiently. Side and rear vents in the cabinet have been designed to provide airflow to your fridge.
Field Maintainable:
The Overland Kitchen is field maintainable using a small complement of tools, and the metal frame is easily drilled to be used as a platform adding DIY accessories (e.g., a water pump can fit inside behind a fridge).
MATERIALS
Cabinets are made of ASTM A1008 cold rolled carbon steel, the same material used in automotive body panels, and finished with a durable textured powder coat paint.
Drawers and cook areas are made entirely out of #304 food-grade stainless steel, the same material used in commercial kitchens, and that SpaceX uses in the construction of their new fleet of Starships.
Cutting board is a Richlite material which is stain, scratch, heat resistant. We chose this NSF approved wood composite because its harder than wood and excellent at resisting bacterial growth.
Durable cargo straps bolt to vehicles cargo tie down points. Made in the United States, these high-quality straps are rated to 330 lbs each.
Assembled using over 350 stainless steel screws, washers, nuts, and rivets.
This is our largest SUV Overland Kitchen. Originally designed for the Jeep JKU, it fits in a wide variety of full size SUVs (see below). The two cabinets arrive individually packed for easy lifting into your vehicle, where you fasten them together with the screws and bolts supplied. Secures to the vehicle cargo area tie down points using the supplied straps.
Made in Canada. Ships Globally. Current lead time is 4-6 weeks.
